Festival of contemporary circus

Marta Torrents

created in 2018

Marta Torrents’s circus draws inspiration from theatre, dance and acrobatics. The technique is dissolved in the physicality and intentions and circus becomes thus an art in its primitive state, leaving no one unmoved.
On stage, the bodies of two women and two men intertwine and unwind, reminding us that the frontier between tenderness and brutality is often porous. There is laughing and crying, hugging, skidding and micro stories of life. BRUT is a delicate and candid experience and if a theme must be invoked it would be the human being in all its impetuousity and blundering.
