Des gens qui dansent

Naïf Production

created in 2018

A collective piece for five male acrobats, Des gens qui dansent looks at the gap separating word and movement, posing the theory that the body is the matrix of reflection, the space where our primary ambivalences derive.
It is about solitary individuals and their longing for communion, flesh and sweat, somewhere between resistance and collaboration, flaring the violence that is structured within the human psyche. In an empty room where a few microphones and maybe a table were left behind, the five acrobats grope for that fragile balance that enables –sometimes- our solitudes to come together.
